Peace Message Committee assures army of full support for promoting national narrative

The National Peace Message Committee (NPAC) established to formulate a national narrative met the DG ISPR at GHQ and assured support for promoting the national narrative.

In the meeting, unwavering solidarity with the Pak Army and a common resolve against anti-state narratives were expressed. The NPAC condemned Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban and said that there is no justification for committing terrorism.

The DG ISPR said that in the meeting, a comprehensive discussion was held on internal security in the context of Fitna al-Khawarij/TTP and TTA and the common position was further strengthened. Affirmation of the principled position on Kashmir and Gaza, support for the oppressed is Pakistan’s moral responsibility.

The NPAC announced to spread the message of unity of the nation, social harmony and constitutional equality from the pulpit and mihrab nationwide and agreed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against hatred, sectarianism and Takfiri narratives.

The DG ISPR said that public awareness and a truthful narrative are decisive in combating the enemy’s psychological warfare, for which it is proposed to increase awareness and guidance sessions in mosques, madrassas and universities.

Terming the meeting as exceptionally useful, it was expected to make progress on new avenues of trust and practical cooperation.
