Chief Minister KP Sohail Afridi has said that Imran Khan has given all the powers, including negotiating with the government or running a movement, to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.

This was said by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi while talking to the media on the occasion of his visit to Jamrud.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi said that the founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, has delegated all the powers, including running a protest movement, in case of negotiating with the government or not, to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas. He clarified that the future political course of action will be decided in consultation with these leaders. Whatever decision the leadership of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ain Pakistan takes, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will stand by it.

Talking about the development of the merged districts, Sohail Afridi said that he has already announced a development package of Rs 1,000 billion for the merged districts, the government is taking serious steps to bring the merged districts into the national mainstream and provide basic facilities to the people there.

The Chief Minister said that all decisions for the resolution of public problems and political stability will be made in consultation and within the constitutional framework and no compromise will be made on the interests of the people of the province.

Addressing elders and jirga in Tehsil Bara

Later, in his address to the local elders and people's jirga in Tehsil Bara, he said that the democratic government of Imran Khan was abolished through regime change. After the regime change, we were targeted through false narratives but we thwarted it. We organized a grand peace jirga for the permanent establishment of peace, which presented a 15-point unanimous declaration. All political and religious parties and every school of thought opposed any operation in the peace jirga and now attempts are being made to sabotage this peace agenda as well.

Sohail Afridi said that a false impression of permission for the operation is being given against me through organized propaganda, it is beyond understanding to fake an operation during heavy snowfall in Tirah, the operation is being prepared to create an anti-government atmosphere under the guise of a self-made terrorist narrative, if the intention was really for peace, the provincial government would have been taken into confidence, decisions made in closed rooms always cause harm.

The Chief Minister met 10-year-old Zainab Bibi, who is suffering from heart disease, at her residence in Jamrud.
