Who is the opposition leader in the National Assembly?
Leader of the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ain Pakistan Mahmood Khan Achakzai has been appointed as the opposition leader in the National Assembly.
A notification for the appointment of the opposition leader was issued by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
After the notification was issued, Mahmood Khan Achakzai became the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly.
According to the notification, the appointment of the opposition leader under the National Assembly Business Rules will take place from January 16, 2026.
The post of opposition leader in the National Assembly fell vacant after the disqualification of Omar Ayub Khan in the May 9 case.
