US President Donald Trump confirmed the attacks on Venezuela and the arrest of President Maduro's wife.

According to the details, on the social media platform Truth, Trump said regarding the attacks on Venezuela that an operation was carried out against Venezuela and its leadership.

He said that during the operation, the Venezuelan president and his wife were captured and transferred out of the country.

Trump also said that this operation was carried out in collaboration with law enforcement agencies. The US president will give more details in this regard at a press conference tonight.

On the other hand, Colombia and Cuba have strongly condemned the US attacks and have called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

The Cuban president said that he calls for an immediate response from the international community against the criminal attack carried out by the US on Venezuela.

Similarly, Russia strongly condemned the US attacks, saying that the attack on Venezuela is a clear violation of international law.

It should be noted that the US has carried out airstrikes on the Venezuelan capital Caracas and several states, targeting the country's important military installations and the Ministry of Defense.

At least seven loud explosions were heard in the capital Caracas. Citizens also saw a US military helicopter CH-47 Chinook flying low in the air, after which fears of war have increased further regarding US threats.
